Bearing Steel

Bearing steel features high hardness, wear-resistance, toughness, high elastic limit and fatigue strength. It is also used to make tools such as: punch die, measuring gauges and shaft rings, hot-forged straight rods, polishing bar and steel balls made of security level bearing steel wire in addition to rotating components like bearing or bearing ring. Standard chemical composition includes 0.9~1.2% carbon, 0.2~0.6% Si., <0.5% or 0.9~1.2% Mn., 1.0~1.5% Cr. and a little P. and S.(0.03%),…etc. Although bearing steel has similar composition as alloy tool steel does, it requires special methods of steel-making, high-temp. machining and heat-treatment depending on its purity.

Used to produce ball-bearing, roller bearing that are mounted to fix mechanical parts. Chemical composition includes carbon, Cr., Mn., Mo., Si and a little.Bearing steel can be categorized in 5 groups :

Product Applications

Bearing steel is a steel grade used to make rolling bearing balls, rollers and sleeves. It can also be used to make precision measuring tools, cold punching dies, machine tool screws, such as punching dies, measuring tools, taps and precision parts of diesel oil pumps. Bearing steel is the steel used to make balls, rollers and bearing rings.
