Chromium Molybdenum Steel for Machine Structural use

Cr. Mo. steel, is referred to alloy that contains low quantity element Mo., has similar mechanical properties as Ni. Cr. steel but has better weldability because of no brittleness and finer crystal at the welding margin than Ni. Cr. steel. Cr. Mo. Steel is the alloy of Cr., Mo., Fe., and carbon, and it is also called medium-temp-hydrogen-resistant-steel, which can undergo deep quenching. Besides, element Mo. can raise annealing temperature so can the toughness. The yielding point of Cr. Mo. steel is lower than that of Ni. Cr. steel but their area-reduction rate are close.

Product Applications

Widely used to make valves, pressured containers that requires high-temp or high-pressure resistance. For instances, Cr. Mo. steel safety valve, gate valve, screw-driver, automobile, pneumatic components, bike parts,…etc.
